CareerSource Pasco Hernando represents the Pasco-Hernando Workforce Board, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that serves Pasco and Hernando counties by administering local workforce development and welfare reform programs as part of the State of Florida and the Federal Government's initiatives.
CareerSource Pasco Hernando is a valuable link between Pasco County employers and local job seekers, with a goal to help people find great jobs, and employers find great people. CareerSource Pasco Hernando provides employee evaluations, job fairs, applicant screening, training programs and referrals. The services available in the CareerSource Pasco Hernando One Stop system are at no-cost to employers and job seekers.
CareerSource Pasco Hernando Employer Services
Business Service Consultants (BSC)
Employers located in the Pasco-Hernando region will be provided with a personally assigned business services consultant (BSC), who will be the employer's point of contact, assisting the employer in using CareerSource Pasco Hernando services and facilities.
Conference and Business Facilities
The BSC coordinates use of CareerSource Pasco Hernando's facilities for the employer, including staff support and assistance, private interview rooms, use of Audio Visual systems, and 3000 sq. ft. of conference/meeting space. Please allow ample time for scheduling.
Employer Job Postings
CareerSource Pasco Hernando will post job specifications on the web, advertising openings for local, state and national exposure. Jobs are posted on: EmployFlorida.com.
Job Processing
Posting a Job Order sets off a chain of events geared to finding the best applicants as quickly as possible. Job orders can be posted via website, e-mail or fax. Qualified applicants are given a referral, along with the employer's contact instructions. Once a candidate is hired, the employer notifies CareerSource Pasco Hernando.
Pre-Employment and Training Assessment
To aid employers in pinpointing the most qualified applicants, CareerSource Pasco Hernando offers free assessment tests used by many large corporations. These tests have met with legal scrutiny and have been proven invaluable in predicting the success of potential applicants.
Recruiting and Pre-Screening 
CareerSource Pasco Hernando can help pinpoint business employee needs and cross-reference them with local job-seekers--providing you with a 'short list' of skilled workers. In addition, CareerSource Pasco Hernando hosts Career Fairs where your representative can meet and screen prospective employees in person
Employed Worker Training
Employed Worker Training provides grant funding to reimburse approved local businesses up to half of their eligible training costs.
FloridaFlex
Previously known as Quick Response Training Program (QRT), FloridaFlex provides grant funding for customized training for new or expanding businesses. Through this customer-driven program, Florida is able to effectively retain and attract businesses creating new high-quality jobs.
Incumbent Worker Training
The Incumbent Worker Training Program provides grant funding for customized training for existing for profit businesses.
